HOW TO GUIDE FOR BBCF
BBCF is renowned for bringing top level comedic talent to Atlanta and offering shows to the public at an affordable ticket price. BBCF also offers workshops taught by some of the nation’s most sought-after comedic acting instructors at a price unmatched by any other festival. Saturday workshops are sold as part of our All-Access-Pass package. Even if you are unable to attend every BBCF show and Saturday workshop, the All Access Pass is still an awesome deal. The Long-Form Intensives is sold separately, while the Advanced Where’s/Action Intensive includes an All-Access-Pass.
Several Saturday workshops will run in parallel. If you are in a performance group, we recommend that you split your group up into as many different workshops as possible so that you can take the most cumulative knowledge home with you and network with the greatest number of actors from other groups. This intermingling helps maintain an ego-free, friendly environment during the festival. Often, relationships formed during BBCF result in collaborative projects between different comedy groups throughout the following year.
Social events are often hosted by some of the Atlanta locals after the Friday and Saturday shows. They are not affiliated with BBCF, but they‘re fun.
REG SHOWS TICKETS
Every BBCF regular show will feature two opening acts (25min each) and a headlining act (40mins).
THE BIG SHOWS TICKETS
DramaTech Theater will host The Big Show on FRI 9/30 and SAT 10/1 at 10:00 PM. The Friday Big Show opens with a 15min performance by the 2011 Black Box Comedy Tournament Champion; followed by Dusk: Improvised Tween Erotica (Austin) and Holy 1960′s Batman, Batman! (Austin). The Saturday Big Show opens with a 15min performance by GA Tech’s Let’s Try This! palyers; followed by two 40min performances by Holy 1960′s Batman, Batman! (Austin) and The Improv Playhouse (San Francisco).
ALL ACCESS PASS
The BBCF All Access Pass grants the holder access to all BBCF shows from Sept. 28 though Oct2 and three 2 hour Saturday workshops.
ADVANCED WHERE’S/ACTION INTENSIVE
The Advanced Where’s/Action Intensive (2.5 day) taught by Tim Orr, explores the IPSF’s unique style of creating astonishing environments and thrilling actions so magical that no BBCF audience has been able to resist giving a standing ovation. LONG FORM INTENSIVE
The Long Form Intensive (1 day), taught by the entire IPSF team, is a crash course in the techniques these master improvisers have developed to create sustained, improvised stories in any style or genre. more info
