2012 BLACK BOX COMEDY FESTIVAL

Oct. 10-14, 2012 – DramaTech Theater presents the ninth annual Black Box Comedy Festival, celebrating 24 years of improv comedy at GA Tech with one of Atlanta’s largest comedy festivals. Each year, Atlanta’s sprawling improvisational theatre community has come together with some of the country’s best nationally touring acts to entertain audiences and educate the next generation of comedic actors. Last year’s event featured 9 shows, 27 performances and over 150 comedians!!

APRIL 1, 2012 – SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN

The Black Box Comedy Festival is now seeking submissions from performance groups, instructors and scholarship applicants. There will be an increase in the submission fee for performance groups submitting after April 2012... so submit now! If you are interested in teaching at BBCF 2012, don't be shy. We are always on the look out for new instructors so that we can continue to keep our workshop selection plentiful and diverse. If you are having financial hardship or just want to save some money, apply for our scholarship and potentially get to see shows and take workshops for free!
